Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo recently promoted 38 middle-ranking and senior officers (Pamen and Pati) in the Indonesian National Police. The promotions, to the ranks of Komjen (Commissioner General), Irjen (Inspector General), and Brigjen (Brigadier General), were conferred during a ceremony at Mabes Polri on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The announcement was made through Telegram Letter No. STR/818/III/KEP./2025 dated March 27, 2025.
Kadiv Humas Polri, Irjen Sandi Nugroho, stated that the promotions, which included 2 Komjens, 10 Irgens, and 26 Brigjens, during the Korps Raport ceremony, signify the commitment of the National Police Chief to personnel who have shown dedication. -Brigjen Mukti Juharsa to Irjen:One of the promoted officers, Brigjen Mukti Juharsa, received a 2-star promotion as Widyaiswara (Police Educator) at the Senior Police Institute (Sespim Lemdiklat Polri), effective March 2025. Prior to this promotion, he served as the Director of Drug Crime (Dirnarkoba) at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri).
** Achievements and Operations: **
-Operation Escobar:Mukti Juharsa notably led an operation against the drug network of Fredy Pratama, which spanned 14 provinces in Indonesia. Despite Fredy’s evasion since 2014, Mukti’s team, implicated a corrupt police officer named Andri Gustami for facilitating drug shipments.
-Asset Seizures and Suspects:Mukti’s team, up to May 2024, seized assets worth Rp 432.20 billion linked to Fredy’s network and named 60 suspects. Fredy’s associates, including social media influencer Adelia and others, were arrested for drug trafficking.
-TTCU from Drug Proceeds:Mukti led a high-profile case linking soccer club director Catur Adi Prianto to money laundering from drug trafficking. Assets totaling Rp 241 billion in various bank accounts were frozen pending investigation.
-International Operations:Mukti’s anti-drug unit dismantled a clandestine cannabis lab run by a transnational gang, resulting in numerous arrests, including the mastermind who had fled to Thailand.
-Jaringan Helen Bersaudara:In a separate operation, Mukti’s team uncovered and apprehended members of the Helen Bersaudara drug network operating in Jambi. The organization was responsible for distributing large quantities of methamphetamine.
Mukti Juharsa’s tenure as Dirnarkoba Bareskrim Polri was marked by several significant drug busts, including operations targeting prominent drug lords and syndicates across Indonesia.
